Chemistry Eligibility Requirements
If you have a BS or BA in chemistry from a recognized institution of higher learning, you are encouraged to apply. You must be fluent in both spoken and written English. TOEFL and TWE scores are required of all international students whose native language is not English. You are also encouraged to take advantage of the online GRE, available year-round at various testing centers.
If you are applying from an institution that is not accredited, you will be requested to take the GRE subject test in chemistry. If you are coming from an accredited university and forward results of the GRE subject test in chemistry, those results will be considered.
In order to help the Program Director ascertain the student's background, each student once accepted into the program takes a series of Entrance Examinations in specific areas (i.e. organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, ect.), depending upon the student's research interest.
