What I like best about my program

The course work is good and the faculty is very helpful. I haven't seen such friendly faculty anywhere else.

Current research interests

I was working in the gene delivery area with Dr. Pardeep Gupta. We worked on developing small cationic peptides which could be further developed into potential non-viral gene delivery vectors for treating liver diseases. My course work here at USP, was not directly related to my research project. However, part of the curriculum covered in the courses was very beneficial in understanding the basics of my research well. I think this helped me to look at my work at a molecular level, an important aspect of any research, specially at a PhD level.

How This program will help me professionally

It will definately fetch me a research based scientific position in any of the pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies. I could even try for academic positions in universities.

Other things I want people to know about USP

It's a very good program.
