Adeboye Adejare Adeboye Adejare, PhD
Graduate Program Director for Pharmaceutical Sciences

The pharmaceutical industry is both growing and becoming more highly competitive. Pharmacologists and toxicologists are finding that they aren't able to advance in their careers — especially in academia — without advanced degrees. Students come to USP from the pharmaceutical industry in positions such as "research associate" and higher. Receiving a master's or doctoral degree in pharmacology and toxicology from USP gives you the edge in academia, government and in the pharmaceutical industry.

USP offers several advantages for students interested in pursuing study in pharmacology and toxicology. Firstly, USP offers study in both subjects — pharmacology and toxicology — as part of our degree program. You'll leave the program well-prepared to pursue a career in both fields — increasing your own marketability. Secondly, our smaller, more personal environment means you'll be able to work directly with our faculty on groundbreaking research — both in vitro and in vivo — in a broad selection of areas. You'll walk away not only with a thorough theoretical understanding, but with hours of experience in laboratory techniques that can help you quickly advance your career.

Combine these benefits with USP's solid connections to the pharmaceutical industry, and you'll know why USP offers superior graduate programs in pharmacology and toxicology. I hope you will become more familiar with our programs in pharmacology and toxicology and how USP can advance your research and career goals.
